INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION

Introduction

The association was founded in 2015, with the following aims:

Aims of the Association The Association

has the fundamental purpose of making a comprehensive contribution to human and social development, focusing its efforts on the following key areas:

1. Poverty Eradication: 
Promote sustainable initiatives and projects that reduce economic and social inequalities, through access to opportunities, resources and essential services, both nationally and internationally.

2. Promotion of Education: 
Guarantee access to inclusive, equitable and quality education, promoting educational and training programmes that promote the comprehensive development of children, young people and adults in vulnerable situations. These actions are mainly carried out in underdeveloped countries, with the support and commitment of specialised staff working in these contexts.

3. Health Support: 
To develop actions aimed at improving the health conditions of communities, facilitating access to medical services, promoting disease prevention and encouraging healthy lifestyles. This work is mainly carried out in underdeveloped countries, thanks to the effort and dedication of the association's staff who provide support in the field.

4. Working with Vulnerable Families: 
Strengthening the capacities of families at risk, providing them with psychosocial, economic and educational support to improve their quality of life and promote their autonomy. It also provides them with different types of aid to pay for supplies, rent, food and other basic needs through various projects developed to attend to the local population.

5. Attention to Migrant Minors: 
Implement specific programmes to protect and assist migrant minors, promoting their social, educational and cultural inclusion, as well as guaranteeing respect for their fundamental rights.

The association carries out these activities under an approach based on human rights, gender equality and sustainability, with the aim of building fairer and more caring societies at local and global level.

APPLICABLE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK

Our association operates in compliance with the legislation in force that regulates its constitution, operation, obligations and relationship with the public administrations. The main regulations that govern us are listed below:

1. Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good Governance. 
Regulates transparency obligations for entities receiving public funds. Establishes the obligation to publish relevant information on activities, organisation, funding and results.

2. Law 38/2003 of 17 November 2003 on General Subsidies. 
It establishes the regulatory framework for the granting, use and justification of public subsidies. It ensures that the resources received are used appropriately and responsibly.

3. Organic Law 1/2002, of 22 March, regulating the Right of Association. 
It regulates the right of association in Spain, including aspects such as the constitution, registration in official registers, internal functioning and dissolution of associations.

4. Law 4/2003, of 28 February, on Canary Islands Associations. 
It complements the Organic Law on Associations with specific provisions for the Canary Islands, promoting social participation and the development of associations in the region.

5. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights 
We guarantee the protection of the personal data of all persons who interact with our association, in accordance with the RGPD and complementary Spanish legislation.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Board of Directors is the highest body of the Association and is responsible for the management and representation of the Association, in accordance with the provisions and directives of its Statutes, approved by the General Assembly. The positions are voluntary and do not receive any financial compensation for the performance of their duties.

Presidency - Rafael Hernández

The president of our association has a teaching background, which has allowed him to develop a solid foundation in the educational and social field. He is currently working in the agricultural sector, where he has gained experience in management and sustainable development. His commitment to the values of the association and his ability to connect with different sectors are key to leading our initiatives for the benefit of the most vulnerable communities.

ECONOMIC INFORMATION AND RELATIONS WITH PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONS

In compliance with Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good Governance, our association informs that:

- At present, we have no contracts or agreements signed with public administrations. 
- The activities of the association are financed by contributions from members, private donations and, where appropriate, public subsidies, which are duly published and justified in accordance with the applicable regulations.

In compliance with Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good Governance, our association informs that:

- At present, we are not legally obliged to present annual accounts or to submit our accounts to external audits, as we do not meet the requirements established by current legislation for such obligations.

This is due to the fact that our association is not considered a public utility and does not exceed the economic thresholds established for the obligation of audits, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 1/2002, of 22 March, regulating the Right of Association, and the accounting regulations applicable to non-profit organisations.

Despite this, we maintain transparent and accountable financial management, and are committed to publishing relevant financial information, such as grants received or projects funded, in this section of our website.


INTERNAL REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE CHANNEL FOR LAW 2/2023

According to Law 2/2023 of 20 February on the protection of the rights of individuals in the field of information and communication, entities with 50 or more active employees are obliged to implement an internal whistleblowing channel.

Currently, our association does not reach the threshold of active employees required for the mandatory implementation of such a channel. Therefore, we are not obliged to comply with this provision under the law.

However, we remain committed to transparency and ethics in our activities. Concerns, suggestions or complaints can be communicated directly to the management or administration, who will handle them appropriately.

Should our situation change in the future, we will take the necessary steps to implement an internal reporting channel, in accordance with applicable legislation.
